Off-site Levies Open House and Public Meeting
Community members are invited to attend an open house and public meeting on Tuesday, February 23 to discuss the proposed Off-Site Levy Bylaw being prepared by the Village of Caroline.

Copies of the proposed Bylaw and the supporting Village of Caroline 2009 Off-Site Levies Report are available at the Village Office. RV Park Attendant
The Village is seeking an ambitious, public-orientated, customer-driven individual or couple to reside, maintain and oversee the Caroline Municipal R.V. Park, 0.5 km east of Caroline, for the 2010 season (May 12 to September 15).
 
Duties include: Supervision of the Park, Management of the Tourist Information Centre, Issuing of Camping Permits, Collection of Camping Fees, Maintenance of Buildings, Facilities and Grounds, and Bookings. Development
Development projects continue in 2010 in the Village. Staff recently approved an addition to an existing commercial property in the Village. 
 
Garbage Pick Up
Garbage collections times: 7:30am – Noon on Wednesdays. Please have all garbage out prior to this time; otherwise it may not be collected. Reminder there is a 5 bag limit and all household garbage must be bagged in garbage bags and contained in a weather proof and animal proof containers.
 
Assessment
Wild Rose Assessment completed annual property assessments. Assessment notices are scheduled to be sent out to residents in March 2010.
 
Animal Licenses
The animal licensing deadline of Feb 1st has now passed. Licences are still available for sale Village office. Cat: $5.00; unaltered dog: $60.00; and altered dog: $40.00. Fines for failing to license you animals can range from $75.00 to $300.00.
 
Council Meetings
The Village of Caroline’s regular Council Meetings are held the on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 2:00 pm, in the Village Council chambers. Any interested members of the public who are welcome to come and view the proceedings.
Village Office Hours
The Village of Caroline Administration Office is open Tuesday through Friday, 8:30am -12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4:30pm.
 
Water Metering
Staff reviewed contractor proposals for the residential water metering program and will be collecting further information in order to make a decision on the appropriate meter system for the Village. As part of the Village of Caroline’ capital plan, the meters are scheduled for implementation in 2010.
